Innkeeper Barleywine and Wee Bastard were special Man Skirt releases launched in June 2017. Only 240 of each were made, aged in bourbon barrels. Joe wanted the Man Skirt aesthetic translated to labels while playing up the uniqueness of each brew. The Innkeeper recipe comes from the mind of The Holy Inn’s Barry Wasser. Innkeeper got me thinking like tavern/taproom/pub so I created a little Holy Inn tavern graphic where I imagined the special brew being created. Wee Bastard was inspired by a Malvador song Hindenburger. I had a lot of fun imagining a cheeseburger floating in the sky.
Climb yourself onto the grill. Drop a line down to the wife and kids. Dip a toe then slip inside the perfect medium rare. Grab the hose inflate the buns and float away in the Hindenburger.
There’s no telling how far you'll float, the sights you'll see or the flavors you'll smell, or the gods you’ll invoke. In the glamour of our time watch that hindenburger glide, it’s a cowship flying high. Meat balloon.
Nothing could be more savory than this red slab of life lofting in the sky. The wee bastards in back for lack of a snack start to chew away. When their thirty-third bite breached the hull well the beef parade fell away.
There’s no telling the how far you’ll float, the sights you’ll see or the flavors you’ll smell, or the gods you’ll invoke. It’s the glamour of our time watch that hindenburger glide, it’s a cowship flying high. Beef Zeppelin.
